Example 1: The infrared thermal image of the furnace tubes in a certain coking unit is shown in the figure. Analysis indicates that coking has occurred on the furnace tubes. Based on the monitoring results, the workshop implemented appropriate measures, enabling the furnace to operate safely under continuous surveillance and achieving favorable outcomes.

Example 2: To assess the condition of the lining in a certain catalytic cracking reactor–regenerator system, infrared thermography was conducted. The monitoring results indicate localized damage to the regenerator, as shown in the following infrared thermal image.
